Today’s Choices Will Cause Tomorrow’s Suffering

We live in a world that says our happiness comes from what we get in life, the money we have, the power we attain, and the control we have over others. Then we realize we must maintain this power and control so that we can keep what we have acquired. Only the lost man or woman thinks and lives this way.

The awakened person realizes that this path only leads to suffering for every human being on this planet.

Even when the lost human being thinks they are happy, they suffer from within; this is the trickery of the mind. It fools us into believing otherwise, and we ignore our suffering. This lack of awareness fuels the creation of more suffering for everyone around us. If we look, this is very easy to see all around the world today, in every country. If you do not see it on a global level, then you may see it happening to a relative or friend who is suffering in their personal lives because of their lack of awareness.

What then is the awakened path? Every religion and spiritual teacher teaches us to love and to give, yet we do not always follow these teachings even when we know they are right. We take the words we read and hear and mold them to fit the way we think instead of letting the teachings enlighten us. These teachings say nothing about taking; they tell us to give. Give our love, patience, and tolerance even when we do not agree with someone.

Giving is the key and essential because we are all part of creation. This is where the wisdom in our oneness becomes clear. Each one of us donates our energy to this oneness every second of every day, through our thoughts and deeds. If we do not invest wisely, then we will all pay the price.

This is especially true when those in power choose to continually take and cause suffering for those who are less fortunate. It is always easier to steal from someone or become angry than to offer love. It is easier to hate, become impatient and cause pain than to provide empathy. It is always easier to ignore a problem than to face it and this becomes abundantly clear when we begin to wake up and see the truth of who we have become.

Our hope lies in who we are, not in who we have become, and it is up to each one of us to pull the weeds from our garden. We cannot think that someone else will do that for us if we want to be happy and if we are going to live in a world where we all get along even when we disagree. Compromise will never happen when our way is the only way. When all we want to do is to get our way, then we all suffer.

Our Very Existence Depends on This

As we remember those that we have lost on this holiday, it is equally important to remember those that are still here, human, animal, and plant and how we treat them. The mistreatment of other human beings, the planet and animals can be seen everywhere these days.

My heart is heavy now with those that I have lost in recent years, but today I mourn those that still live on this planet with me. I hope that each one of us will take a moment to let go of our pain, bias, misguided and conditioned thinking. To look deep within and connect with our hearts, the true spirit of our religious and spiritual teachings, and to let go of our conditioning long enough to see that we must widen our circle of compassion. We must awaken to the oneness of all things through that which connects us all.

“A human being is part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. We experience ourselves, our thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest. A kind of optical delusion of consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us.

Our task must be to free ourselves from the prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. The true value of a human being is determined by the measure and the sense in which they have obtained liberation from the self.

We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if humanity is to survive.”

~ Albert Einstein, 1954.

Wake Up! Wake Up! Wake Up!

I feel your pain and suffering. Let it go! I see your perfection and infinite beauty. Wake up to it! I understand how lost and lonely you think you are and yet I am here for you always. Your thoughts are lying to you, and you only have to wake up to this fact.

Because I love you, I tell you that you only have to want to feel your True-Self again and you will. Your continued attentive nature of seeing the truth will reconnect you to your True-Self because it has never left you. It is there to guide you, and you only need to stop believing every word the False-Self tells you. Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! You were never lost, just dreaming that you were. Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! I am here gently nudging you every moment of every day. Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!

Right Action

The Apple Tree

“The apple tree does not bear fruit all year-long. Like the apple tree, we are not always going to be productive; things are not always going to go the way we want. This does not mean that we will not bear fruit or be happy again; it only means that we have to tend to ourselves with love and patience until the next fruit-bearing season arrives.”

Death

The Transformational Power of Love

When the windows of perception are cleansed, everything appears… as it is. You will see that love is the foundation of all creation. This means all your upset, fear, worry, anger… come from love. When we stop resisting and surrender to the truth of our feelings, we begin to see that only love could create such a gift of transformation. Furthermore, only love can help you release your upset, fear, worry, anger… allowing you to connect with your True-Self and release you from the bonds of your False-Self. Only love can heal your pain and suffering. This is not about feeling the love from another person, but feeling love for yourself, just as you are and especially when you do not like what you are feeling.

Do the Right Thing

Remember no two snowflakes are alike. This is true for human beings as well. It is easy to see the beauty in snowflakes, how about looking for the beauty of each person you see today and the common thread that binds us all together. It is always there, you only have to look with an open heart. Instead, we choose to judge without knowing and to hate without understanding. It is living in this way without ever questioning our thoughts or beliefs that we perpetuate the suffering in this world and its destruction. To think that we do not have to take care of each other no matter who we are, what we believe or where we are from and this planet is a recipe for disaster and one that will ultimately destroy us all. I am not speaking metaphorically, I mean literally.

What if?

What if love is not just something you do or say. What if you are love; what if you are love in human form? If you saw yourself this way, how would your life change? How would your actions change? What would you do differently? Are you living your life only sometimes as a loving human being, or as an expression of love in human form? Do you see the difference? If only everyone lived this way, can you see how different your life would be, how different the world would be?
