We Must Stop the Insanity of Judgment

People have felt the need to judge others since the very first humans on the planet. Therefore, it does not surprise me that so many continue it today and of course, it is much easier these days to get into other people’s business with the internet and social media. However, that does not mean that we should just because we can.

It does not matter if the events were recent or happened decades ago. Now I understand if someone continues immoral, illegal or wrong behavior, that person should face the consequences of their actions. However, this should happen through the legal system, and if not unlawful, then it should be resolved appropriately by those involved but not by those sitting on the sidelines.

I did many things when I was younger that I would never do now because I learned from my mistakes. I certainly would not want to be judged today for only those actions.

I had a drinking problem for many years and know that I did many things wrong including drinking and driving. What if I could not get a job now or fired from one today for a DUI in 1977. Does that seem fair, especially since I have been sober for 31 years?

What happened to forgiveness, should something someone did 30 years ago say more about who they are today than all the things they have done since then?

Each one of us needs to ask ourselves what have I done in the past that I would not be proud of or want to be judged for today.

I am reminded John 8:7 from the Bible “So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” Surely, you do not have to be religious to understand that judging others is wrong.

Therefore, the next time you want to comment on someone else’s behavior take a pause. Do you have all the facts? Does what you are about to say come from the heart or your head? Why do you feel the need to comment? Are you an outsider looking in, and if you are, do you have a right to judge that person or their actions?

There are always better choices to be made than to judge someone.

“If you judge people, you have no time to love them.” ― Mother Teresa

Do not expect to live in a peaceful world or be peaceful in your own life if you cannot let go of your judgments for others or yourself.

World Peace

When the mind is at peace, the world is at peace. Are you willing to put some effort toward making your mind peaceful? Failure is impossible when any honest and consistent effort is taken toward this intention.

I know that more than any other action toward world peace this action will bring it to fruition, but only if you are willing. To dream of something better is just a dream without an unbending intention and effort.

Instead of asking for world peace, ask how you can bring stillness to your mind. Take action as needed toward this goal and then watch the world change.

Humanity’s Most Important Discovery to Make

Finding our True-Self through inner exploration is more important than any scientific discovery, invention or creation by man. If we do not take this responsibility seriously, we will continue to destroy the planet and ourselves through the choices we make.

Our choices arise from a foundation created by our conditioning and the person we have become, not our True-Self. The True-Self is free from all conditioning. This conditioning gets passed down from generation to generation within our race, gender, family, country or any other group that we belong. If we continue on our current path without any correction in our thinking or actions, the planet will continue to deteriorate, and we will keep fighting wars until we self-destruct, whether these wars are internal ones or with each other.

Bringing awareness to our thoughts and actions, and questioning them will begin to release this conditioning. Know, that our conditioning, like a bad habit or addiction, will not let go without a fight and we must be vigilant in our efforts to expose it and free ourselves. If we do not bring the light of awareness into our lives, then we are destined to be oblivious to this conditioning and held hostage by it.

If you think you are already free from it, I would ask you to question that thought because your conditioning may be deceiving you. Also, when your thoughts say it is too hard or you cannot or do not need to do it know that this too is your conditioning anchoring in and protecting its place in your life. You always have the power and ability to release your conditioning, no matter what your current situation is in this life.

If you are sincere in your wish to release it, then your unbending intention to question your thoughts and actions will begin to shine a light in the corners of your being, exposing what needs to release. You have nothing to fear or lose except that which you no longer need.

There is nothing more important in your life than freeing yourself from this conditioning. When our guidance comes from the True-Self, we lead from the heart, and our efforts will be for the highest good of everyone. Can you see the possibilities once we rise to our full potential and enter the flow of natures organizing intelligence?

I know it is possible to live in a peaceful world where everyone can flourish together without fear. What do you think?

The Path to Peace

Our suffering, hate and anger is birthed in thought, even war starts here. We must learn to let these thoughts go. Our fear of what might happen will never bring us peace. We must learn to drop into our hearts, why, because this is where our empathy lies. This is where love begins to flow and the suffering, anger and hate begins to dissolve. Too many of us spend our day in our heads, worrying about what might happen or thinking about what has already happened to us. If we continue to listen to these misleading thoughts, then we are destined to suffer individually and collectively.

You may think this is an impossible task. Do you want to follow that thoughts direction or the direction of your heart? If you want to follow that thought, then you are part of the problem. If you want to follow the path of the heart then you are part of the solution. It really is that simple. You have already picked one of these paths. Are you aware of which one you are choosing?

The Only Solution to World Peace

You are mistaken to think that peace will come to the world through outer pursuits and at some future time because of these pursuits. The only way to have peace in the world is to be peaceful ourselves and this will only happen when we wake up to the peace that already resides in us by letting go of who we have become and reconnecting with our True-Self.
